For years I was involved in online Constructed Languages groups. There's a good number of them. I worked on my own for a while, a vaguely proto-western-semetic thing. Highly agglutinating based on tri-consonant roots, though like ancient Hebrew it has no vowel notations.

Theoretically it was supposed to be antideluvian. Someday when I get back to writing novels, I'll crack it out again and work on it.

You're a better man than I. As much as I admire the inherent linguistic egalitarianism of Lojban, it looks too much like Hindi crossed with Swahili and infused with Klingon for me to want to tackle it. Esperanto may be too Eurocentric by modern standards, but it's a lot easier for me to wrap my brain around.

Then again, Mandarin may end up being the language of choice in this century. Who knows?

Yeah, I'd definately be freaked out. Not only is she the first woman VP candidate on the Republican ticket, I'm pretty sure she's also the first to ever give a "shout-out" during a national debate. And the whole "wink-and-wrinkle-the-nose" bit left me wondering if this was the national VP debate or a re-run of Bewitched. I may already be freaked out...

According to the United States Constitution, Article I Section 9, Paragraph 7: "http://www.usconstitution.net/xconst_A1Sec9.html"

No money shall be drawn from the treasury, but in consequence of appropriations made by law; and a regular statement and account of receipts and expenditures of all public money shall be published from time to time.

So it would seem that the recent AIG bailout was illegal. And the current proposed bail out plan would require an Amendment to the Constitution to be legal. But then again, the current Administration has never appeared to be bound by piddly little things like the Constitution.

Great analysis. Thanks!

Palin is Pro-War! She calls it "a task from God."
This mixing of God and war I find very sad.
And it’s costing us Hundreds of Billions of Dollars.
